On the Beach at Night Alone

On the Beach at Night Alone,

As the old mother sways her to and for singing her husky song,

As I watch the bright stars shining, I think a thought of the clef of the univeses and of the future.

Avast similitude interlocks all,

All distances of space however wide,

All distances of time,

All souls , all living bodies though they be ever so different,

All natins , all identities that have existed or may exist,

All lives and death, all of the past, present, futue,

This vast similitude spans them, and always has spanned,

And shall for ever spane them and compactly hold and enclose them.

年老いた母なる海が行きつ戻りつ嗄れ声で歌を詠うとき

我は輝く星の煌めきを見つめながら

宇宙の音律、未来の音律について考える




一つの大きな類似が全てを結びつけているのだ

どんなに広大であっても全ての空間の距離を

全ての時間の隔たりを




また　どんなに異なっていようとも

全ての魂

全ての生きた身体を

全ての国々　これまでに存在し今も存在する全てのものを

全ての生命と死を

　過去　現在　未来の全てを




この大きな類似は結びつける

これまでにも常に結びつけ

また永遠に結びつけて　しっかりと押さえ

包み込むのだ
